Detox Every Week ! How & Why its Important.

Morning

When you wake up, Kick start your day with a warm drink of Ginger honey lemonade & honey to begin cleansing & stimulate your digestion. Citrus fruits, lemon especially, is well known for their ability to flush toxins from your body, as well as their numerous antioxidant benefits. Ginger is a great detox food that stimulates your digestive tract, speeding up digestion. Meditation

 Quiet and clam your mind with ten minutes of Meditation. Begin this ritual with ten deep breathing exercises.

 Breakfast

 Flood your body with Antioxidants in the first meal of the day. There are delicious ways to do this. Start you day with a any delicious mixed Berries or banana Smoothies. This is full of fibre and will definitely help in keeping things moving. Also making for a fulfilling meal.

 

Mid-Morning Snack

While it’s encouraged to give up caffeine during a detox, sometimes it’s not always feasible. Instead of ordering a cup of coffee, opt for green tea. Rich in antioxidants, green tea has also been shown as a powerful antioxidant. If you’re feeling like you need a little snack before lunch, grab a fiber-rich apple, or pair some belly-fighting blueberries with probiotic-filled Greek yogurt—each snack will aid in digestion.

Afternoon Break often:

Use this time to care for your body day. Take short breaks every 20 minutes from work and walk around as much as you can.Basic stretches and movement throughout the day further boosts your Detox.

 Lunch:

 Avoid the afternoon slump by eating a light lunch. Try a mixed green salad with a cup of vegetable soup. Add as many different colors as you can to your salad including a healthy fat, like avocado. Dress your salad with extra virgin olive oil and lemon.

Mid Afternoon Snack time:

If you feel like you need something to hold you over until dinner, there’s nothing quite like a green juice. This nutrient-dense beverage has a knack for instantly boosting energy and making you feel like you have done something really good for your body. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s packed with a host of essential vitamins.

*If possible, take a 20-minute nap!

Evening:

Before heading home settle for some relaxing time. Try and head for an indulgent massage or a 20 minutes sauna. Both are great ways to detox & also will help to ease any tension in the body and offer relief to sore muscles or joints.

Dinner:

Keep it simple while focusing on whole foods. Try roasted chicken with sprouts & green vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli etc these are great for liver detoxification. Vegetarians can also try a simple recipe of light & easy OATS CHILA with vegetables.

Early Night:

Call in an early night today. A good night sleep is one of the best ways top Detox. Try and include a 20 minute meditation before snoozing.
